After granting permissions to your user to change InDesign installation folders (Shortcut Sets and Workspaces), run the script to switch your InDesign interface to the selected language.

If your preferences (and scripts, queries, etc) are saved into user data folder (Windows: AppData/Roaming/Adobe/InDesign/… and Mac: Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/…) all will be copied to keep available in the new language.
